Supporting the Community
How we support our community
Supporting our community has quite literally been a key focus of ours since the Company began. In fact, it was the reason the Company was founded back in the mid 70s.
Dave Baker began his commercial career as a window cleaner and within no time became very well respected by the local community, so much so that local businesses began asking him for help with their own cleaning and janitorial products. In a bid to ensure that the local community received competitively priced and effective cleaning products, he set up his own company, and the rest is history!
The Company continually endeavours to bring a responsible and neighbourhood approach to our business activities and gives back to the community by supporting local charities with either funds, supplies or volunteers.
In recent years, the company has organised annual Easter Egg and Selection Box appeals for disadvantaged children within our local areas. Suppliers, customers and staff have all got behind this and helped us to generate a little gift for over 1,000 deserving children each year.
We have also supported a number of local charities and projects over the years, with a particular push to provide young girls from financially deprived backgrounds necessary sanitary products, to help combat period poverty in partnership with The Red Box Project. We have also helped with Beach Cleans in Portsmouth.
