Harriet Cooke of Pennthorpe Primary School wins comic strip competition
CJS launched its’ Bubble King Comic Strip Competition to Primary Schools earlier this year. The competition required pupils to compile a short storyboard to convey how best to combat hidden germs and bacteria using CJS’s Bubble King as their hygiene hero. The response to the competition has been phenomenal, however after careful consideration, the judges decided to award the winning place to 8 year old Harriet Cooke of Pennthorpe School, Rudgwick. Harriet’s storyboard was beautifully drawn and carried with it a sound infection control message: Blow your nose into a tissue and throw it away and always wash your hands.
Harriet’s outstanding entry has meant that she has won a family season ticket to Paultons Park together with a personalised winner’s certificate. The school will also benefit from Harriet’s first place position and is set to receive free ‘Bubble King’ on loan dispensers as well as a ‘one-off’ free delivery of Deb Azure soap.
CJS has been delighted with the support from schools in helping to highlight the importance of hand hygiene by entering the competition. Keith Churchill, Sales Director remarked that ‘the standard and thought that has gone into each submission has been quite staggering and it is encouraging to see that infection control is becoming a strong topic within the classroom, particularly as we know that the simple act of hand washing is the most effective way to fight against the spreading of germs’.
Keith presented the prizes to Harriet at her school assembly on 6th November thanking Pennthorpe and all the primary schools that took part in the competition.
The company would also like to extend their thanks to both Paultons Park and Deb for their generosity and kindness in providing the prizes for the competition.
