Introducing CJS Environmental, our sister company

How many of you know that we have a sister company, that as part of its services, offers discreet washroom hygiene services?  No?  Well, let me introduce you to CJS Environmental Ltd, our registered transferor of waste for nappies, feminine hygiene, clinical and sharps containers as registered with the Environment Agency.

Waste may not be the most attractive subject to discuss but it is an everyday part of our lives and quite simply cannot be swept under the carpet or just placed in a black bin liner!  But don’t worry, if it’s your washroom waste you need to sort, CJS Environmental can take care of it very discreetly and in line with UK regulations.

Did you know, for example that sanitary waste in businesses is governed by UK regulations?  It recommends that all businesses should ensure all female toilets are provided with a suitable method for disposing of sanitary waste:

“In the case of water closets used by women, suitable means should be provided for the disposal of sanitary dressings ie. every cubicle likely to be used by females (including disabled and unisex toilets) should have a sanitary disposal facility.  If you are responsible for any building where you have women employees, guests, and customers etc. you are deemed to be a producer of controlled waste.  This waste needs to be disposed of in the proper manner.”

By “proper manner”, CJS Environmental not only collects this from you with as little disruption to your business as possible but it also takes care of what happens to it afterwards.  As with CJS Portsmouth, CJS Environmental takes sustainability extremely importantly and so after collecting the waste it is transferred to a third party for incineration where it is then recycled for energy usage.

Don’t take my word for all of this.  Why not find out more about how CJS Environmental can help your business by either visiting or contacting the offices on 023 9243 4514

Yours, DB
