CJS Portsmouth have been supplying janitorial supplies and cleaning materials to customers on the south coast for over thirty years and during this time we have gained a wealth of experience within the cleaning and janitorial supplies industry which enables us to provide the complete service to our customers. Our service offering is supported and underpinned by the 35 Nationwide branches throughout the UK & Ireland from which our own fleet of 165 vehicles deliver to your door.

To further support customer service in the UK the group has over 150 sales staff on the road to offer assistance and training whenever it is needed. Behind the scenes are a further 150 staff managing your customer service and technical needs.

Our group is also a founding shareholder of INPACS GmbH, the largest independent service in Europe delivering products from over 200 branches in 28 countries.

Since 2006 we have been members of the Network Services Company in North America and as part of a $15 billion global janitorial organisation we are able to source the most cost effective solutions for all our customer partners.

Our History

CJS Portsmouth Limited commenced trading as Janitorial Suppliers in 1973. Over the 38 years the company has seen many changes and developments from its very humble beginnings from a small shop in Highland Road, Southsea, Portsmouth.

The cornerstone to the success of the business which was founded by our Chairman Dave Baker FBICSc, is that the company retains a friendly family working style operation.

The original name for the company was Clearsee Janitorial Supplies. This was shortened to CJS in 1996. The original name was for Dave Baker’s first company, a window and general cleaning operation called Clearsee through the windows!
These operations have long gone, but from a tiny start became the company which now has an annual turnover close to £5 million!

The company moved in 1998 to its current large warehouse and office complex in Airport Service Road, Portsmouth where we cater for all sizes of business from the general public for home use, to major multi million pound operations.
